Family meal planner FAQ
Quick answers about Provision & Root, the shared family meal planner.
What is Provision & Root?
Provision & Root is a family meal planner that the whole household uses together. You save the recipes you actually cook, drag dinners onto a shared weekly calendar, and the app turns that plan into one grocery list anyone in the family can pull up at the store.
It's built for the household instead of one person, so a partner stepping in for Tuesday dinner sees the same plan and the same list as the parent who set it up.
How is Provision & Root different from other meal planning apps?
Most meal planning apps are built for one person tracking calories or chasing a diet. Provision & Root is built for a household. The recipes, the week's plan, and the grocery list are all shared by default, so the people who actually eat the meals are the ones who can see and change them.
The app also doesn't run ads, sell your data, or push notifications at you to keep your screen time up. It earns its keep by being useful at dinner time, not by competing for your attention.
Is Provision & Root free?
Provision & Root is free during early access. We're planning paid plans for later, and when that happens we'll tell you what they cost before anything changes for your account.
Either way, the model isn't ads or data sales, so the price you see is what you pay. If you sign up now, you get the full app while we keep building it out.
